The clock is ticking. There’s a puzzle to be solved, a riddle to be answered. Escape rooms are an incredible team building activity. They force you to work together and use your critical-thinking skills.
I went to an escape room in Morgantown, WV for the first time and had a blast. The Morgantown Escape Room has two rooms that you can pick, depending on the size of your group. We had a larger group, so we went for the Race to the Game theme.
The themes of the room change, so depending on when you’re in town you may find some different options.
The objective for us was simple; we had to complete a series of tasks to find our ticket to a big football game, and use the ticket to discover the way out of the room.
I went with a group of coworkers, and everyone really found a puzzle they could solve, and we all were able to work together for some puzzles. The room we were in had a 40% success rate, so I wasn’t sure if we’d actually be able to make it out of the room, but we did! In just over 50 minutes we managed to solve all of the puzzles and find our way out of the room.
The couple who runs it are very sweet; they were excited that we were able to make it out, and really designed a great brain teaser with excellent theming.
If you’re in the Morgantown, West Virginia area, be sure to check them out on Facebook. It’s a great way to spend an evening, and at only $25, it’s pretty affordable too.
